About the project

Daily Insights is an automated pipeline that turns current news and online stories into short-form narrated videos. It collects articles, produces a concise script, generates speech and subtitles, combines everything with background footage, and prepares the finished video for publishing.

Technologies used

  • Python, Beautiful Soup, and Pandas for collection and processing
  • A local OpenAI-compatible language model for summarization
  • OpenVoice and PyTorch for speech generation
  • Whisper and FFmpeg for subtitles and video production
  • SQLite and Selenium for tracking and publishing
